In 2022, Ashlea graduated with a Masters of Legal Practice with a focus on family law from the Australian National University.

Her career in law began with roles at the Central Coast Community Legal Centre in 2017 before relocating to the Northern Territory to commence a role at the Central Australian Women’s Legal Service (2017-2019). In this role, Ashlea was a front line worker committed to advocating for victims of family violence across a wide range of practice areas, including family law, child protection, civil law, victims of crime and domestic violence orders. Ashlea then chose to move across to the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (2019-2022), the dedicated Aboriginal legal service in Alice Springs where she represented both men and women in matters of family law and child protection.

Ashlea has extensive front-line experience in the most challenging family law cases, as well as criminal law, civil law, and victims of crime matters. She is committed to minimizing her clients’ exposure to the legal system and employs a pragmatic approach to achieve early and cost-effective resolutions. Her expertise includes representing clients in challenging legal and social circumstances.

Now based in the Hunter Valley, Ashlea conducts regular outreach to the Northern Territory, covering Darwin, Katherine, Tennant Creek, and Alice Springs. She accepts family law cases across all of Australia under the jurisdiction of the Federal and Family Court of Australia (excluding Western Australia), will undertake child protection and criminal law work across New South Wales and the Northern Territory, and handles non-court matters such as consumer law and tenancy law across New South Wales, the Northern Territory, and the Australian Capital Territory.

Ashlea is justice focused and will work hard to provide her clients the best legal representation possible. Let Ashlea use her uniquely compassionate and pragmatic approach to unravel the complexities of your legal problem.
